(OFAJ) Ordnance Factory, Ambajhari, (IOF) Indian Ordnance Factories, Nagpur-440021, Government of India, Ministry of Defence invites job vacancy applications from the eligible candidates for the employment posts of Ambulance Driver, Medical Assistant, Ward Sahayak, Fireman and Durwan.
(A). Ambulance Driver (Ordinary Grade) (1 Post UR-1)
Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-.
Age Limits: 27 years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.
Essential Qualification:
1. Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
2. Possess driving licence for heavy Vehicle.
3. Knowledge of motor mechanism and Ability to read and write Hindi or English language and numbers.
4. Preliminary knowledge of First Aid.
Desirable: 3 years experience of driving Light/Heavy Vehicle.
Period of Probation: 2 Years
Unit of Posting: Ordnance Factory Ambajhari.
Written Test Syllabus: Objective Type (2 Hrs)
1. General Intelligence
2. General Awareness
3. Technical Knowledge
Skill Test:
1. Only those candidates who attain a minimum-qualifying standard of 40% in the written examination will be eligible to be called for skill test.
2. The candidates qualifying as above should be called for skill test subject to the condition that the total number of candidates called for skill test does not exceed five times the declared vacancies.
(B). Medical Assistant (1 Post OBC-1)
Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-.
Age Limits: 27 years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.
Non-Ex Service Person:
1. Passes 10+2 from a recognized Board or equivalent.
2. Undergone a course of instructions in First Aid from a recognized institution/St.Jones Ambulance.
3. Knowledge of First Aid.
4. Knowledge of Operation Theatre and Sterilization procedure.
Ex-Service Person: Worked as Nursing Assistant in the Armed Forces after passing qualifying test of the Medical corps.
Desirable: Preliminary working knowledge of computer.
Period of Probation: 2 Years
Unit of Posting: Ordnance Factory Ambajhari.

Essential Qualification:
1. Matriculation
2. Must have completed basic course on elementary Fire Fighting for not less than six months from any institute recognized by State Govt./Govt.of India.
Physical Standards: Must be Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
1. Height without shoes: 165 cms
2. Chest: Unexpanded-81.5cms, Expansion-85cms
3. Weight: 50 kgs minimum
Endurance Test:
1. Running 1.5 km run in 6 minutes
2. Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5kgs to distance of 183 metres withing 96 seconds).
3. Clearing 2.7 metres wide ditch landing on both feet (Long Jump).
4. Climbing 3 metres vertical rope using Hands & Feet.
Written Test: Only for those who possess prescribed physical standards and also quality in the Endurance Test.
Period of Probation: 2 Years
Unit of Posting: Ordnance Factory Ambajhari.
Written Test Syllabus: Objective Type (2 Hrs)
1. General Intelligence
2. General Awareness
3. General Awareness on Fire Fighting
(E). Durwan (8 Posts SC-1,OBC-2,UR-5)
Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-.
Age Limits: 20-27 years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.
Essential Qualification: Matriculation
Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit for the duties of Durwan
1. Height without shoes: 165 cms
2. Chest: Unexpanded-77cms, Expansion-82cms
3. Weight: 45 kgs minimum
Desirable:
1. Ex-Servicemen
2. Three years service as Home Guard / Civil Defence volunteer
3. Training in at least basic and re-fresher courses in Home Guard / Civil Defence.
Screening Test: Running of 100 metres in 15 seconds
Written Test: Only for those who possess prescribed physical standards and also quality in the Endurance Test.
Period of Probation: 2 Years
Unit of Posting: Ordnance Factory Ambajhari.
