1. Matriculation
2. Must have completed basic course on elementary Fire Fighting.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years
Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have to pass the tests specified below,
a) Height without shoes: 165 cms.
b) Chest: Unexpanded - 18.5 cms and On expansion - 85 cms.
c) Weight: Minimum 50 kgs
Endurance Test:
a) Carrying a man (Fireman Lift) of 63.5 kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
b) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (Long Jump)
c) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
Written Test: Objective Type
a) General Intelligence
b) General Awareness on Fire Fighting
Application Fees: Rs.50/- DD or Postal Order drawn in favour of The General Manager, Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu, Nilgiris District, Pin-643202, Payable at Aruvankadu.
a) One Photo should be pasted in application with Duly signed
b) Two Photo copies Stapled with the application.
How to Apply: Applications are invited on plain paper duly typed on neatly handwritten.Copies of certificate pertaining to Academic & Professional qualification, Date of Birth and Cast certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer must be enclosed with the application.

Note:
1.Duration of basic Fire Fighting course will not be less than 6 months.
2.Concession of 2.5 cms in height or chest may be allowed for the members of SC/ST.
3.Endurance Test - as per specified in the SRO Endurance Test shall be done only for those candidates who qualify in the measurement of physical standards.
4.Written test only for those who possess prescribed Physical standards and also qualify in the Endurance test.
5.Application Fees should be submitted along with application form.
6.Copies of certificate pertaining to Academic & Professional qualification, Date of Birth and Cast certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer must be enclosed with the application.
7.Mere submission of application form does not guarantee issue of Admit Card Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu will not be responsible for any postal delay.
