Ordnance Factory Badmal (OFBL), Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Dist: Bolangir, Odisha, Pin-767070 Recruit Employment Post of Fireman, Store Keeper and Durwan Job Vacancies - April 2013


(OFBL) Ordnance Factory Badmal, Dist: Bolangir, Odisha, Pin-767070  invites applications from eligible candidates for the job vacancy post of Fireman, Store Keeper & Durwan. 

(A). Fireman (6 Posts UR-2,SC-1,ST-1,OBC-1,Ex-SM-1)

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

Qualification: 
1. Must have passed Matriculation
2. Must have completed basic course on elementary fire-fighting from an recognized institute.

Age Limit: 18-27 Years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.

Selection Procedures:


Physical Standards: Must be Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
1. Height without shoes: 165 cms
2. Chest: Unexpanded-81.5cms, Expansion-85cms 
3. Weight: 50 kgs minimum

Endurance Test: 
1. Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5kgs to distance of 183 metres withing 96 seconds).
2. Clearing 2.7 metres wide ditch landing on both feet (Long Jump).
3. Climbing 3 metres vertical rope using Hands & Feet.

Written Test Syllabus: Objective Type (2 Hrs)
1. General Intelligence
2. General Awareness
3. General Awareness on Fire Fighting

Note:
1.Duration of basic Fire Fighting course will not be less than 6 months.
2.The Institute offering basic course on Fire-fighting should be recongnized by State Govt./Govt. of India.
3.Concession of 2.5 cms in height or chest may be allowed for the members of SC/ST.
4.Written test only for those who possess prescribed Physical standards and also qualify in the Endurance test.
5.One post reserved for Ex-Serviceman.

(B). Store Keeper (7 Posts UR-4,ST-2,PWD-1)

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

Qualification: Must have passed 12th or Equivalent examination.

Desirable: Basic knowledge of computer application having "O" level certificate as per Department of Electronics Accredition Committee Certificate (DOEACC).

Age Limit: 18-27 Years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.

Mode of Selection: Syllabus and format of examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates through call letter / Admit card.

Note: 1 post reserved for PH.

(C). Durwan (7 Posts UR-3,SC-1,ST-2,OBC-1)

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent pass

Age Limit: 20-27 Years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.

Selection Procedures:

Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit for the duties of Durwan 
1. Height without shoes: 165 cms
2. Chest: Unexpanded-77cms, Expansion-82cms 
3. Weight: 45 kgs minimum

Desirable:
1. Ex-Servicemen
2. Three years service as Home Guard / Civil Defence volunteer
3. Training in at least basic and re-fresher courses in Home Guard / Civil Defence.

Screening Test: Running of 100 metres in 15 seconds

Written Test Syllabus: Objective Type (2 Hrs)
1. General Intelligence
2. General Awareness
3. English Language
4. Numerical Aptitude

Note: 
1.Screening test only for those who qualify in the measurement of Physical Standards.
2.Written test only for those who possess prescribed Physical standards and also qualify in the Screening test.

Application Fee: Rs.50/- Postal Order or Demand Draft drawn favour of The General Manager, Ordnance Factory Badmal (OFBL) payable at Stage Bank of India Badmal.

General Note:
1. Applications are invited on plain paper duly typed on neatly handwritten.
2. Copies of certificate pertaining to Academic & Professional qualification, Date of Birth and Cast certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer must be enclosed with the application.
3. Mere submission of application form does not guarantee issue of Admit Card OFBL will not be responsible for any postal delay.
4. Recruitment will be made Strictly Based on the Merit Position drawn from the Written Examination, Trade Test & Oral Test of the candidates.
5. OFBL also warned candidates to avoid any unscrupulous elements who may assure appointment in OFBL by seeking bribe in cash or in kind or any other inducement, and are advised not to fall in their trap.
6. SC/ST candidates must be mentioned nearest Railway Station in the application for TA.
