Essential Qualification for Tradesman IEs:
1.Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination.
2.National Council of Trades for Vocational Training (NCTVT) certificate in the relevant trade failing which by ITI or equivalent Diploma/Certificate holder.
3.Degree and Diploma in Engineering will not be accepted as qualification for Direct Recruitment.
4.Only when applicants with NCTVT certificates as mentioned above are not available, then only applicants with ITI or equivalent Diploma/Certificate holders will be considered.
Essential Qualification for NIEs:
(A).For the post of Store Keeper:
Essential: Pass 10 + 2 Exam.
Desirable: Basic knowledge of Computer application having “O” Level Certificate as per Department of Electronics Accredition Committee Certificate (DOEACC)
(B).For the post of Durwan (only for Male):
Essential:
1.Matriculation or equivalent examination pass.
2.Must be physically fit for the duties of Durwan as per specified standard as indicated below:-
a).Height without Shoes 165 cms.
b).Chest (unexpanded) 77 cms, Expanded 82 cms
c).Weight 45 Kgs.
Desirable:
1.Ex-Servicemen
2.Three years service as Home Guard/Civil Defence volunteer and training in at least basic and refresher courses in Home Guard and Civil Defence.
Age Limits: For Tradesmen 18-32 Years, for Storekeeper 18-27 Years and Durwan 20-27 Years. Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.

1. One Photo should be pasted in application with Duly signed
2. Two Photo copies Stapled with the application.
Application Fee: Rs.50/- to be paid through Demand Draft/crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of The General Manager, Gun Carriage Factory (GCF), Jabalpur.
Selection Procedures:
1. Selection will be based on an Objective Type Written Examination (100 Marks) conforming to the NCTVT syllabus for a particular Trade.
2. Successful candidates will be called for a Practical Trade Test (100 Marks).
3. Both the written examination and the practical trade tests will carry equal weightage and the final merit will be based on the combined marks of the two.

2.The candidates shall apply for the above posts through online only from 05.02.2013. Online entry the candidates should fill up all the columns in the application, then click submit button and should take a print of their submitted application.
3.After submitting and taking print of the ‘filled’ online application, the candidates should forward a copy of the same alongwith the certificates to The General Manager, Gun Carriage Factory (GCF), Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Pin-482075.
4.Name of the post must be clearly superscribed / written on the top of the envelope in capital letters. For example – FOR THE POST OF MACHINIST (SEMI SKILLED)
5.Copies of all the documents i.e. Date of Birth certificate, Educational Qualification and certificates, Mark sheets, Caste certificate, Ex-Serviceman certificate, Physically disability certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be enclosed with the application. No document should be enclosed in original except “No Objection Certificate:.
