(OCFC) Ordnance Cable Factory, Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Chandigarh-160002 invites job vacancy applications from eligible candidates for the employment Group 'C' post of Durwan and Semi Skilled Electrician.
(A) Durwan (1 Posts SC-1)
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Qualification: Must be passed Matriculation or equivalent.
Age Limit: 20-27 Years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.
Physical Standards: Must be Physically Fit for the duties of Durwan
1. Height without shoes: 165 cms
2. Chest: Unexpanded-77cms, Expansion-82cms
3. Weight: 45 kgs minimum
Desirable:
1. Ex-Servicemen
2. Three years service as Home Guard / Civil Defence volunteer
3. Training in at least basic and re-fresher courses in Home Guard / Civil Defence.
Screening Test: Running of 100 metres in 15 seconds
Written Test Syllabus: Objective Type (2 Hrs)
1. General Intelligence
2. General Awareness
3. English Language
4. Numerical Aptitude
(B). Electrician (Semi Skilled) (3 Posts UR-2,SC-1)
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Qualification: NCTVT Certificate in their relevant trades i.e. Electrician (Semi Skilled) failing which ITI or equivalent Diploma / Certificate holder.
Age Limit: 18-32 Years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.
Selection Procedures:
1. Selection will be based on an Objective Type Written Examination (100 Marks) conforming to the NCTVT syllabus for a particular Trade.
2. Successful candidates will be called for a Practical Trade Test (100 Marks).
3. Both the written examination and the practical trade tests will carry equal weightage and the final merit will be based on the combined marks of the two.

How to Apply:
1.Applications are invited on A-4 size plain paper duly typed on neatly handwritten.
2.Attested photocopies of mark sheets / certificates of educational & technical qualification, caste certificate & physically handicapped certificate, proof of age, proof regarding experience in the relevant field and other testimonials if any.
3.The self addressed 25cm x 10cm size with Rs.5/- postage stamp affixed envelope containing the application must be superscribed as Application for the Post of Durwan or Electrician ....... (Name of the post applied and Category)

Note:
1.Screening test only for those who qualify in the measurement of Physical Standards.
