Development Lead

Ideal Profile for Development Leads :

• Hands on experience in the design and development of software products/applications built on the Java platform

• Core Java hands-on programming skills in I/O, NIO, Networking, HTTP, SMTP, Web services and XML

• Excellent inter-personal skills as this resource will be the bridge between the Senior Management (CTO, CEO) based in the US and the other members of the tech team

• Excellent debugging skills, code reviewing capabilities and refactoring skills

• Quick learner and a self-starter

• Working knowledge of Linux based test and deployment environments

Quality Assurance Lead

Ideal Profile for Quality Assurance Lead :

• Hands on experience in Test design, Test data generation and testing of software products and applications built on Java platform

• Hands-on experience in test automation using JUnit. Necessary support from the Development team will be provided as needed. But you have to take the ownership and mentor the other members in the QA team

• Hands-on experience in testing "head-less" server applications that have stringent requirements on high-availability, security and scalability. This is NOT simple manual testing but automated un-manned testing !

• Basic understanding of Linux based test and deployment environments

• Good test and impact analysis skills and knowledge of best practices of software development methodology viz., Continuous Integration (Cruise Control / Hudson), Test Driven Development (JUnit & Selenium) and Whitebox testing methodologies

• Excellent inter-personal skills as this resource will be the bridge between the Senior Management (CTO, CEO) based in the US and the other members of the QA team

• Quick learner and a self-starter

Nice to Haves (carry significant weightage) :

• An appreciation for the cool stuff that is happening on the Cloud with Software as a Service (SaaS) Platforms. 

For Eg: Force.com and the surrounding ecosystem (users, platform, apps etc)

• An understanding of the offerings from the Open Source world and their successful implementations. 

For Eg: Usage of MemCache at Facebook.com

• Prior start-up experience
