1. The existing criteria for PET is as follows:
Male Candidates: Should be able to run a distance of 1500 meters in 6 minutes in one chance.
Female Candidates: Should be able to run a distance of 400 meters in 3 minutes in one chance.
2. Railway administration will not be liable/ responsible for any loss/injury/damage, whether direct or consequential, suffered/incurred by any candidate during the selection, including PET. Candidates are advised in their own interest, therefore, to ensure that they are physically and otherwise fit to undertake the selection and observe due care to avoid injury/loss/damage to either themselves or others during the process of selection. The candidates are advised to ensure in their own interest to have adequate practice in running 1500/400 meters before coming for PET.
3. Your admission for the PET centre will be subject to production of this call letter. The candidate will be allowed to appear only at the centre, date and time allotted to him. No request for change of the date, time or centre of the PET will be entertained under any circumstance. You should be present at the PET venue at least 15 minutes before the reporting time of the PET, candidates reporting late shall not be admitted
4. You should affix your passport size photo on the space provided and sign across it in a way that some portion of signature is on call letter.
5. Candidates are advised to put their signatures at the time of attendance exactly in the same way as signed in the application form. Any variation in the signature may render their candidature liable for cancellation/ rejection.
6. Candidates are advised to wear dress/shoes etc. for PET which they find most comfortable for the run.
7. Any form of canvassing will disqualify the candidate. The candidate found indulging in any unfair means and practice, misbehavior for disturbance during the test, indiscipline etc. shall be disqualified.
8. After completion of the PET the top portion of the call letter must be handed over to the supervisor.
9. Candidates must check their Call Letters thoroughly with regards to name, photograph, Community, free travel authority (for SC/ST only) etc.
10. The decision of RRB in regarding any issue concerning PET shall be final and binding.
11. Candidates are required to make their own arrangements for lodging/boarding. They may be required to stay one or two days more than the appointed day at their own cost. If the railway administration is not able to hold the PET due to some unforeseen circumstances, then the candidate may be called again for the PET at a later date.
12. Visit the relevant railway web sites for related information.
13. The entire proceedings of PET shall be video-graphed. The results of the PET will be announced on the same day.
14. This call letter is only a permission to appear for the PET. Issue of this call letter in no way is indicative that RRB is otherwise satisfied with details and documents of candidates and does not entitled the candidate to any appointment what so ever on the Railways.
