Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Grey Iron Foundry, Jabalpur - 482009 (M.P.) invites application for the Group 'C' post of Fireman (1 Post for ST) Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/- plus usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees from time to time
Qualification: Matriculation from recognized Board. Must have completed basic course on Elementary Fire Fighting from a recognized Institute. The duration of the Basic Fire Fighting Course should not be less than six (6) months.The institutes offering Basic Courses on Fire Fighting should be recognized by State Government / Government of India.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years
1.Physically Standards
b) Height without shoes - 165 cms.
c) Chest (unexpected) - 81.5 cms, Chest (expanded) - 85 cms.
d) Weight 50 kgs Minimum.
2.Endurance Test: Endurance Test will be done only for those candidates who qualify in the measurement of physical standards.
a) Carry a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kgs to a distance of 183 mtrs within 96 seconds.
b) Clearing 2.7 mtrs ditch landing on both feet (long jumps).
c) Climbing 3 mtrs vertical rope using hands and feet.
3.Written Test: Syllabus General Intelligence & General Awareness on Fire-Fighting.
