Walkin Interview for WAS Administrator on 9th Feb'13 with IBM for L2 and L3 level.

Desired Experience : 4 to 7 Years (Mandatory)

Mandatory Skills : Websphere, WAS

Job Description :
• Hands on Experience - Commercial IT exposure in a large systems (250+) Server environment
• Significant working knowledge with the following WebSphere skills is required for the role:
o WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WAS ND) v6.1.x, v7.x WebSphere eXtreme Scale 7.x , Knowledge of WebSphere Service Registry and Repository
o IBM HTTP Server (IHS) v6.1.x, v 7.x AIX/Unix command line
• HACMP knowledge (WAS on HACMP is advantageous)
o Installation of WebSphere using silent mode (Not GUI)JDBC, JNDI, wsadmin
o ISA tools. Working with IBM on PMRs etc
o JDK 1.5 and J2EE 1.4.x or above Keystore management CSR, importing, receiving etc
o Scripting with Jython and ksh . Should be able to work with WAS at command line (not console)
• WebSphere Security
• Service Integration Bus
• WebSphere Migration
• Performance tuning (Good knowledge of JVM internals, Garbage Collection)

The following experience would be beneficial :
• Knowledge of SiteMinder and LDAP
• ITCAM Remedy 7.x (handling tickets and change requests) DB2 9.x
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, host file, Virtual Hosts and HTTP traffic)
• Practical experience of other middleware technologies
• UNIX administration skills on AIX would be advantageous
• Problem diagnosis and resolutions skills in a business critical 24 x 7 Service Support environment are essential obsolete

Soft skills :
• Ability to work independently without formal Knowledge Transfer
• Able to work on multiple projects without much guidance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to stay calm under pressure and resolve complex technical issues
