Central Ordnance Depot (COD), Kandivali (East), Mumbai Recruit for the Posts of Lower Division Clerk, Store Keeper, Cook, Telephone Operator, Civil Motor Driver and Carpenter Job Vacancies - April 2011

Central Ordnance Depot (COD), Kandivli (East), Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Mumbai, Maharashtra, PIN-400101 invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Lower Division Clerk, Store Keeper, Cook, Telephone Operator, Civil Motor Driver and Carpenter.

1. Lower Division Clerk-LDC (1 Post OBC-1)

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

Essential: Minimum speed of 30 WPM in English Typewriting on computer.

2. Store Keeper (1 Post Genl-1)

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

3. Cook (1 Post OBC-1)

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

Essential: Must Have knowledge of Indian Cooking and Proficiency in Trade.

4. Telephone Operator (1 Post PH-1(OBC))

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with English as compulsory subject.

Essential:

1. Proficiency in handling in PBX Board.

2. Fluency in spoken English.

Note: PH - Visually Handicapped in OBC category.

5. Civil Motor Driver (2 Posts Genl-1,ST-1)

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

Essential: Light/Heavy Driving License and also license for motor cycle.

Experience: Three years experience of driving.

6. Carpenter (2 Posts Genl-2)

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

Essential: Certificate in the trade from recognized ITI of three years training.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

Age Limits: 18-25 years, Age relaxation for respective categories shall be as per rules.

Selection Procedures:

1. Number of candidates to be called for test/interview will be minimum ten times of number of vacancies being filled unless adequate number of eligible/suitable candidates are not available.

2. Only short listed candidates will be called for the final written test.

3. Those who qualify in the written test be called for typing test for LDC's only.

4. Only candidates who qualify in typing test will be called for the interview for LDC.

How To Apply: 

1. Applications duly typed in A-4 paper and neatly handwritten in block letters in the prescribed format only.

2. Photocopy of Educational Certificate duly attested by Gazetted Officer.

3. Documents in support of claim of age relaxation  and physically handicapped certificate where applicable.

4. Cast certificate.

5. Photocopy of School Leaving Certificate for proof of date of birth.
